First Towns in the West. Gallic urban agglomerations in Brittany and Pays de la Loire : This exhibition focuses on the last ten years of archaeological research in Brittany and Pays de la Loire.
Four Gallic towns are the focus of the exhibition : Moulay, Trégueux, Paule and Quimper-Kergolvez. Road construction projects over the last few years led to the discovery of these four sites. The exhibition represents a wide variety of objects for daily use representing the Gallic society in 2nd- 1st cent. BC. It includes a collection of surprisingly well-preserved wooden objects from the Gallic site of Trégueux which would not normally survive in the ground.
